Rome is the capital of Italy. The city is so old that they also call it as ‘the eternal city’. The city has 2.6 million habitants and is the largest city of Italy. Rome is situated in the west of Italy. Through this city are the rivers the Tiber and the Aniene. Around the Tiber were seven hills that in the 7th century BC were merged into the city Rome. This historical city has many sights that are worthwhile to visit. One of the most popular attractions are the ruins of the Roman Empire, furthermore the city has beautiful bridges, palazzi, churches, theaters, fountains and villas. Just a daytrip to Rome won’t be enough to experience the city. However Rome is more than only its sights, the city has also an amazing atmosphere. Rome can be also be enjoyed by shopping, experiencing the exciting nightlife and by visiting the best restaurants and coffee bars. Rome is like a museum in the open air, it is all outside on the streets.
