Politics in Europe
Almost all European countries are democratic. There is 1 exception though, this is Belarus.
27 countries in Europe are member of the European Union (EU). This is a european gathering of countries which offers among all economic advantages for all of its members. Members of the EU are at the moment of writing:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Tjech, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Rumania, Slowakia, Slovania, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom.
This list can be extended at any moment. For example, nowadays there is an ongoing discussion about whether or not let Turkey be a member...
Other political initiatives are:
1. United Nations (UN), aiming at cooperation in law, security, economic development, social progress and human rights.
2. Council of Europe (CoE), 47 countries working on human rights.
3. Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), a forum for political dialogue aiming at secure stability in the region.
