We have decided not to continue the Earth.org website. This is a demo version – and if you want to take it forward – please feel free to ask us for the code, which is open. Thank you for visiting.

Earth.org actions

As a responsible travel guide, we believe it’s important to walk our talk and provide tools to help our members travel more responsibly:

  • We actively search for ways to support local environments, cultures and economies
  • The Earth.org website is Green Certified by CO2Stats and runs on green servers, which over-compensates for the environmental footprint of Earth.org
  • We offer links to organizations that practice and teach responsible travel around the world

But we don’t stop there. We also want to make a difference directly through our own efforts. Earth.org donates at least 50% of our net income to environmental, socio-cultural and economical projects and local endeavors, such as the Himalayan Village Project in 2006.

How much can we offer to these good causes? At the moment, our estimates are conservative – we are a new company, aiming for sustainable growth. We don’t expect to rake in a lot of money in the short term, but we are clear in our vision and motivated to achieve results over the long run!
