We're looking for ambitious web developers to work in a creative, professional and friendly remote team - with enough experience that you're ready to handle anything – or are ready to figure it out.

Your job (the bulleted list of things we can need):

  • CMS Design & Development
  • REST API usage / development
  • CakePHP framework knowledge
  • Wordpress Skills
  • PHP/MySQL Skills
  • XHTML/CSS Skills
  • Flash/AS Skills
  • Linux Skills
  • Some acronyms we like to throw around: PHP, MySQL, AJAX, XHTML, CSS, *nix, W3C and RGB. Some LOL and ROFL are also welcome.

Your profile:

  • 3 years of professional web development experience
  • An understanding of LAMP development processes and best practices
  • Experience building complex applications using PHP and MySQL
  • Basic CSS, Javascript, and AJAX skills
  • Knowledge of MySQL performance and query optimization is a plus
  • The ability to work as part of a creative remote team

What else do you need to know?

Location: Remote work at your preferred location
Minimum time involvement: 5h/week, flexible schedule
    Time horizon: preferably long-term

This is a volunteer position. We are a wiki-based website with an open atmosphere where everyone is invited to contribute. Earth.org is in the initial beta and as an early adopter and volunteer team member you will have the chance to help shape the future of an exciting project. We offer an enriching and challenging experience, and the chance to see your responsibilities and desires grow alongside the project.

Interested? Contact us here or send an e-mail to volunteer(at) earth.org.
