Step 1 - Join Earth.org

Become an Earth.org Traveller .

Step 2 - Become an Earth.org Ambassador

Become an Earth.org Ambassador .

Step 3 - Welcome on board - now meet the team!

You are an Earth.org Ambassador and a very important part of the Earth.org team. We rely on dedicated and passionate people like you!

First of all we invite you to meet the Earth.org team on blog.earth.org . Just say "hello!", introduce yourself a little bit and see what's going on at Earth.org. Why all that? At Earth.org we have no office! Our team members are placed all over the globe. We work from the beach or in the mountains, in cities or at the countryside, at home with kids or whilst traveling. Our big challenge: How can we communicate in such a remote team ? We decided – just open!

Meet the team - you can see us while we work at Earth.org, the open travel guide.

Step 4 - Get started...

  • Add information about restaurants, nightlife, hotels, hostels, and events for their city - including a list of at least 10 recommendable places to stay, places to eat, things to do and things to see.
  • Showcase the unique culture, customs, and hidden gems of your city by creating videos and taking photos.
  • Add quality and up-to-date content about your city regularly - at least twice a month
  • Follow the Earth.org writing guidelines
  • Help Earth.org expand the number of travelers that add content to your city. Manage them, meet them and respond to questions about your city.

Earth.org and the Ambassadors share a single goal of building the best collaboratively written travel guide online.

Step 5 - Relax and just benefit from being an Earth.org Ambassador

  • Earth.org Ambassador is a special status. You will receive the designation of Ambassador on your Earth.org profile which can be added to your professional profiles such as LinkedIn and Xing and on your CV.
  • Along with the special status Ambassadors have the opportunity to expand their social and business network by responding to questions from other members and interacting with local business owners.
  • Ambassadors are also invited to share ideas on ways to improve Earth.org and the Ambassador program via direct email to a dedicated member of the Earth.org team.
