Earth.org is a project based on Wiki principles and built entirely using open source software (linux, mysql, cakephp). This means that our users enter and revise the information on our pages...information that is free for everybody to use.

We aim to bring you a product that is well structured, with an easy-to-use interface that makes finding and adding information as simple as possible. You can access many layers of data - from general demographics about nations all the way down to tips about favorite shops and sights in small towns - so you can enter or explore as much or as little information as you like.

Keep in mind that the project is now in its Beta version and is a work in progress. It will evolve in new directions over time. Currently it is available in two languages: English and German.
